The Museo was established for the people of Morong as well as for all Filipinos. The Museo showcases the rich history and culture of the Moronguenos who descended from the river people and lakeshore dwellers around the Laguna de Bay (now Laguna Lake) long before the Spaniards came to colonize our land. They had interacted with Chinese traders who left artefacts and wares that were later discovered buried by the mouth of the Morong River. Many of these wares have designs and markings typical of those made during the Sung and Ming Chinese Dynasties and are evidences of a fair sized thriving settlement with a presumably robust local economy, centuries ago, inferring that our forefathers dealt and intermingled with their Asian neighbors.
