RIZAL GOV'T DESTROYS CONFISCATED GAME MACHINES

RIZAL CAPITOL, Antipolo City – Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares led others in smashing 23 video karera machines seized by elements of the province’s Safety, Security, Peace and Order Task Force (SSPOTF) she created and chaired by virtue of Executive Order No. 16, series of 2013.  Gov. Ynares herself smashed the game machines with the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice-Gov. Frisco San Juan, Jr., infront of officials and employees of the provincial government during the regular flag raising ceremony at the provincial capitol grounds recently. The video karera machines and other gambling sets were confiscated during raids conducted by SSPOTF elements in various areas in the province and was the result of the relentless campaign against unlawful gambling operations.  “Let this serve as a stern warning to all owners and operators of illegal game machines that we will not stop until all unlawful gambling operations are terminated and gambling sets confiscated and destroyed,” Rizal Gov. Ynares warned.  Further, Gov. Ynares has also instructed those concerned, to dispose the destroyed machines properly to avoid pollution of the surroundings by harmful chemicals from old analog TV sets that are used in these machines.
