Rizal gov’t joins observance of Arbor Day

PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, Antipolo, Rizal – Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares together with local chief executive (LCEs)  led a massive tree-planting drive recently in the entire province in observance of Arbor Day with the aim of protecting and safeguarding the environment.

Pushing for a greener environment through the YES (Ynares Eco System) to Green Program of the provincial government, Ynares led each LECs of the province to an early morning tree-planting activities on different sites province wide.

In a statement, Gov. Ynares express gratitude over the staunch support of all LCEs, private sectors, academe and other stakeholders to the YES Program. Since the re-launching of YES last Sept. 2013, various activities related to the program had been conducted on a systematic and consistent basis, which consistently received favorable feedbacks from the constituents.

Meanwhile, the conduct of YES Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign in all 189 barangays of the province is on-going. This time, Gov. Ynares is committed to educating the constituents in the barangay level on the protection of the environment.  The IEC campaign is an offshoot of the Environmental Army training conducted also in all municipalities/city of the province.
