Rizal Governor Rebecca Ynares initiates the inter-agency meeting with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) led by Asst. Regional Dir. Yolanda Tangco and Rizal 1 District Engr. Nestor Cleofas, Local Government of Taytay headed by Mayor Joric Gacula, and the National Housing Authority (NHA) led by Acting District Manager Ma. Theresa Siat and Rizal Housing Project Manager Lorenzo Pineda and MERALCO to thresh out a lasting solution to the perennial heavy traffic situation at Highway 2000 leading to Barkadahan Bridge across Manggahan Floodway. On the agenda is the proposed DPWH road improvement project in the said area seen to ease traffic flow, and the resettlement of 53 families housed at the same number of illegal structures on the lots owned by the NHA, which impedes the implementation of the project.
